Traditional Braces

Metal braces with wires and brackets have been a popular method for straightening crooked or misaligned teeth in children and adults.

Due to advancements in orthodontics, traditional braces are more comfortable, easier to maintain, and more efficient than ever before. Traditional braces can be made of metal or tooth-colored material to suit your cosmetic preference. The metal brackets are attached to each of your teeth individually and connected to a thin wire that applies pressure to your teeth and jawline. The wire is periodically adjusted as your teeth shift into their desired position.

Lingual braces are similar to traditional braces, but the brackets and wires are installed on the back of your teeth, making them nearly invisible and highly discreet.

While wearing either type of traditional metal braces, it's essential to avoid eating certain hard, crunchy, or sticky foods like caramel.
